About Erol Salcan
I am Erol SALCAN, an aviation professional with many years of experience across different areas of the industry, and I continue to learn, research and share what I have learned.
A significant part of my professional background has involved aircraft maintenance, technical training, ramp operations, aviation safety, quality and Human Factors. Having started my professional career as a licensed aircraft technician, I have had the opportunity to observe both the technical and operational sides of aviation closely.
My main areas of professional interest and experience include aircraft De/Anti-Icing operations, training, operational coordination, aircraft maintenance, Human Factors and aviation safety.
I do not see this website simply as a blog for publishing news or general information. My aim is to combine professional experience, research and personal analysis and, over time, build a useful reference source, particularly in the field of aviation.
I also write about science, technology, artificial intelligence, the internet and, occasionally, history. In my articles, I try to distinguish factual information from personal interpretation, research the underlying sources and offer readers more than a repetition of information already available elsewhere.
That is also the idea behind the long-standing motto of this website:
Write-Comment.
